Test Framework
Assessment Structure
CCSK assessments are designed to evaluate Mandarin Chinese proficiency in professional contexts across four key skill areas: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
Listening
Candidates listen to audio recordings of workplace conversations, presentations, and announcements, then answer comprehension questions.
Reading
Candidates read business documents, emails, reports, and articles, demonstrating comprehension of professional Chinese text.
Writing
Candidates compose business correspondence, reports, and other professional documents in Chinese characters.
Speaking
Candidates respond to prompts covering common workplace scenarios, evaluated on pronunciation, fluency, and appropriateness of expression.
Scoring
Each section is scored independently on a scale aligned with the CCSK proficiency levels (1–7). The overall band score is the average of the four sections. Results include detailed feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
